The Berachain platform is a new crypto project in the Open Testnet stage that has raised $69 million in investment at a valuation of $1.5 billion.
Berachain has three types of tokens: BERA (used to pay for gas), HONEY (stebbledcoin), and BGT (management token). Users who steak BERA or other tokens receive BGT tokens. This allows them to receive HONEY as a reward for participating in the management of the network.
The project itself has not announced a token giveaway when the mainnet goes live, however this giveaway is more than likely, and in order to receive the tokens we will be testing the network for free per the instructions below.
Also, keep in mind that since the project is still in the development stage, various bugs appear very often, it is for the fact that we help the developers to detect them, we will (hopefully) be allocated a drop. So we are calm about the fact that often something doesn’t click / doesn’t arrive / an error comes out, etc. Try again, refresh the page or try again later.
Preparation
For testing, we plan to use MetaMask browser wallet (you can download it in Google Chrome here).
The next step is to add the Berachain test network to Metamask
Data for adding a network to your wallet:

- Chain ID: 80085
- Currency symbol: BERA

First we need to get BERA test tokens to pay for gas in the test network. To do this, we go to the Faucet website at: https://artio.faucet.berachain.com/, insert our wallet address and request the tokens.
Berachain dApps
Once we have the test tokens, let’s move on to testing the network and dApps.
- Go to: https://artio.bex.berachain.com/swap
- Connect wallet
- Swap BERA tokens to HONEY (we need at least 11 tokens), WBTC and stgUSDC (we will need these tokens in the future).
Next, add liquidity:
- Go to the Pool section
- Select the desired token pair and add liquidity
Supply and Borrows:
- Now go to the landing page: https://artio.bend.berachain.com/dashboard.
- In the Supply section deposit HONEY tokens
- In the Supply section we also deposit WBTC
- After that borrow HONEY tokens in the Borrow section
Mint HONEY:
- Connect Wallet: https://artio.honey.berachain.com/
- For stgUSDC minitim HONEY tokens
HONEY Vault:
- Go to: https://artio.berps.berachain.com/vault
- Connect your wallet
- Deposit HONEY tokens
In a few hours, you’ll be able to brand BGT tokens that can be delegated to validators here.
Trading on futures:

It should also be taken into account that when determining the conditions for token distribution, the project may set requirements for the number of transactions in the network, the number of active days/weeks/months, in this regard, we recommend to regularly conduct the above transactions, to increase the probability and size of the drop.
